Besides the usual collections by talented local and international designers, new this time around is a fantasy makeup competition; the event's first plus-size show, from LOULOU by Addition Elle; and the Old Strathcona Retail Showcase, with clothing from Whyte Avenue-area boutiques.
Last season's emerging designer winner, Shahidah Abdul-Raheem, will debut her first full collection, while the U of A's department of human ecology will unveil designs by students in the textiles and clothing program.
A few designers, including Vancouver's Jason Matlo (see story in Look Tuesday), will even offer a sneak peek at their fall/winter '09 collections.
Tickets to each night are $15 in advance at Tix on the Square (780-420-1757) or $20 at the door.
VIP every-night passes are $85.
Doors are at 7p.m., shows at 8p.m.
